Mentorship Program

Our mentorship program is designed to train the next generation of professionals in the waterfront solutions industry through hands-on experience, mentorship, and real dock installation projects.

Launch Your Career in the Waterfront Solutions Industry

At The Dock Shop on Hwy 11, we believe great teams are built through training, mentorship, and real experience. Our Dock Industry Mentorship Program is designed for individuals who want to build a meaningful career in the waterfront construction and dock installation industry.

Rather than simply hiring employees, we focus on developing skilled professionals who understand the craftsmanship, problem-solving, and teamwork required to succeed in the field.

Through hands-on learning, direct mentorship, and real project experience, participants gain the practical skills needed to grow within the company and build a long-term career in the waterfront industry.

Preparing for the Day’s Installations

Crew members begin the day by preparing equipment, reviewing the build or installation plan, and loading materials needed for the day’s dock projects.

Working on the Water

You’ll assist with dock installation, assembly, setup, and waterfront construction tasks while learning proper carpentry and installation techniques from experienced team members.

Problem Solving on Site

Every shoreline is unique. Mentorship participants learn how to evaluate conditions such as water depth, shoreline slope, and lakebed composition to ensure each dock is installed correctly and securely.

Collaborating with the Team

Dock manufacturing & installation is a team effort. You’ll work alongside skilled crew members who prioritize efficiency, safety, and craftsmanship on every project.

Seeing the Finished Result

One of the most rewarding parts of the job is seeing the completed dock in place and knowing you played a role in creating a space where clients will spend time enjoying their waterfront.
